Latashá is a singer-songwriter, recording and performance artist from New York City. Highly influenced by her Caribbean, Latinx and New York roots, Latashá stepped into Hip Hop with the vision to heal and connect with the world through her music. After graduating from Wesleyan University, Latashá has engaged with hearts around the country and has opened for various artists like Princess Nokia to Kate Tempest. Latashá has toured festivals like SXSW, Afro-Latino Fest and Brooklyn Hip Hop Fest. She has also headlined the Brooklyn Museum, The Shed and Le Poisson Rouge. As an unsigned artist, Latashá has flourished and grown her audience through her eclectic, energetic, vulnerable yet empowering music and stage performance. In 2015, Latashá became the first Hip Hop artist in residence at National Sawdust, where she began to cultivate her creative multimedia experiences that she now tours. In addition to her creative prowess, Latashá has also shown dexterity in the commercial realm through writing and performing for Maybelline, Ulta Beauty and Tic Tac x IheartRadio. Currently, LATASHÁ is working on her upcoming EP “Chrysalis” due early 2020 and evolving her current docuseries TRULYTE into it’s own network, TRULYTE TV.
